Titus

A year of growth for Titus UK

2024 has been another great year for Titus UK. It’s been a year marked by new product innovations, strengthened industry partnerships and continued growth. We caught up with Phil Beddoe, Managing Director at Titus UK, to discuss the year’s achievements and look ahead to what promises to be an exciting 2025.

How was 2024 for Titus UK?

2024 was an exciting year for us at Titus. We participated in major industry trade shows like KBB and SICAM where we launched several innovative new products. This includes the T-type PressTo and T-type 170 hinges with integrated damping, Push Latch S2 latches with integrated damping, new Slimline+ Tacto drawers, Slidix soft closing solutions for sliding doors, PushPlus for pocket doors, RV Push Locks, and a series of damping solutions for cold environments.

These new product launches represent significant investments from us into expanding production capabilities and factory facilities. We’ve continued to see good, stable demand from the industry amidst wider economic uncertainties. The home improvement sector continues to remain strong.

What challenges did the team face this year?

Like all businesses, we face challenges all the time. With a great team in place and the resources at our disposal, we are able to overcome each and every challenge as they arise. Communication is key to fully understand the requirements and to provide solutions. This helps us to continually build our knowledge and expertise and to share it with our customers for their benefit.

What were the highlights of 2024?

For us, the clear highlights were our successful launch of various new product lines at flagship industry shows, the expansion of our production facilities and the key new additions to our team, which have allowed critical direct customer engagement. Our investments to expand capacity and capabilities provide the platform for the next wave of innovations already in development for 2025 and beyond.

Titus Plus talking to people at KBB this year

How important were industry events for Titus this year?

Both KBB at the NEC and Sicam allowed us to present new products to existing and new customers. Trade shows play an important role, giving us the opportunity to showcase our full range and demonstrate how it integrates into complete solutions for cabinet manufacturers. With our CAF programme, we can provide real savings in production time and ease of assembly.

How does Titus stay ahead of industry needs?

By exhibiting at top international furniture production shows and through extensive face-to-face customer meetings, we stay closely attuned to the needs and trends shaping this industry. We see firsthand the innovations our customers bring to market and the end-consumers’ response.

This direct exposure informs our own product roadmap and business plans, ensuring we deliver components that help manufacturers improve efficiencies, quality and premium experiences. We are constantly developing and innovating our range to ensure we are at the forefront of customer requirements.

What trends do you anticipate shaping the industry in 2025?

We anticipate continued robust demand for high-end furniture fittings that provide superior dampening, smooth actuation and longevity – from kitchen cabinet doors to sliding bedroom wardrobes. Our in-house engineering expertise in damper technology makes us uniquely equipped to lead innovation here. We also foresee growth in demand for flexible solutions adaptable to small-batch custom furniture production, in addition to serving high-volume standardised manufacturing.

How has the team grown this year?

In the UK, we have been delighted to add Phil O’Malley to our team as UK Business Development Manager. Phil has extensive experience in the market working in senior positions in large component manufacturing companies. This gives us the opportunity to speak to manufacturers about their specific applications and the solutions that Titus can provide.

What are your priorities heading into 2025?

We continue to focus on our customers and their requirements, and as always, we look forward to unveiling new product innovations. We are continually perfecting and enhancing our fixture and component offerings – making installation easier and more efficient for furniture producers while improving end-user experiences. And of course, we look forward to discussing these developments with our partners within the industry.

We’re also looking forward to some exciting events in the new year. First, we’re exhibiting at BAU 2025 in Munich, a leading trade fair for architecture, materials, and systems, from January 13-17, 2025. This will be a great opportunity to connect with industry professionals and showcase our latest innovations.

Following that, we’ll be at Interzum 2025 in Cologne from May 20-23. With the theme ‘Rethinking Resources: Circular and Biobased Solutions,’ this event for the international furniture supply industry will also provide an excellent platform to present our new products.

We’re proud to have established Titus as a recognised leading hinge brand in the UK for the KBB market. Our commitment to innovation and quality continues to drive our success, and we’re grateful to all our customers for their continued support throughout the year.
